This study aimed to explore significant predictors for perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease-of-use (PEOU) about lower limb exoskeletons. Participants are 310 older adults who are 65 or over without cognitive problems. Applying the Senior Technology Acceptance Model (STAM) proposed by Chen & Chan (2014), hierarchical regression analyses were performed. Potential predictors were categorized into three groups (sociodemographic, gerontechnology characteristics, and health factors). Results implied that gerontechnology factors are core elements explaining PU and PEOU. Contrary to previous research, gerontechnology anxiety was positively associated with PU. Ag e and gender, education, among sociodemographics, was associated with PEOU, partly supporting inequality in technology acceptance. Among health factors, it was significant that when life satisfaction got lower, the level of PU increased. Taken together, the results of this study suggest that empirical analyses of the technology acceptance model depend on the context of applied technology. A practical implication of this study is the significance of interventions promoting technology-specific self-efficacy and coping skills for anxiety.
